I am here to compliment your production team in finding the absolute best talent for your film, commercial, video, voice-over or print project.

Do you have questions first? I’d love to answer them for you. Please complete the quick connect form below and I’ll reach out to you with my contact information. (I don’t post my details here due to unwarranted solicitations.)

I also have a list of FAQ’s that might answer some questions.

What are your casting rates?

I generally work on a day or half day rate. I can give you an estimate based on your project. Please contact me for my rate sheet.

What kinds of projects do you cast for?

I cast principal talent for work on all types of union and non-union projects from feature films, shorts, TV, commercials, documentaries, corporate and educational videos, voice-over and print work. I cast projects that are reputable and suitable for general TV viewing. I do not cast for sexually explicit media, reality TV or any type of questionable media. I reserve the right to decline any opportunity. The video gallery on the About page is an indication of the projects I typically cast for.

What are actor day rates?

Regardless of whether you are producing a union or a non-union production the general rule of thumb for day rates is in line with the SAG-AFTRA standard day rates. Day rates can be negotiable based on unique skill, experience, and demand. I typically don’t cast for projects that are below $750/day rate for talent. All rates should be plus 20% for talent agency fees except for SAG-AFTRA projects which are + 10%. If you are wanting to cast talent nationwide, please budget for travel, lodging & per diem. If you are not offering travel, lodging etc and want to cast some of the best talent nationwide I can still help you cast your project but you will need to increase your day and be offering a good usage fee on commercials. $1400/session minimum.

Do you cast for Background talent?

I cast for principal talent but if you only need a handful of background talent along with casting your principal talent I can accommodate to save you from hiring another service.  An extra’s day rate is a minimum of $200 + 20% for an 8 hour day. Featured extras will increase from this rate. For larger numbers of Extra talent I suggest using a Background talent service.

How much time do you need to cast?

I will need a minimum of 2 – 3 weeks before the first shoot date, for small projects. It’s best to factor in 1 week from the time the casting breakdown goes out until all the submissions are in. Then we focus on callbacks, negotiations, video meetings, contracts, logistics etc. Please contact me ahead of time to check availability.

Do you cast for voice-over work?

Yes! All submissions come to me and are posted on a secure page on my website ready for you to listen to the gallery of submissions.

What are your payment terms?

A half day rate will be billed to you in advance as a casting service deposit and once paid casting services will begin. The balance is due upon completion and is payable at the time of receipt. Payment is made online.

Can you cast talent in a different State from our Production location?

Absolutely! That’s what is so good about this type of remote casting service. I am a verified casting director on all industry standard casting platforms such as Casting Networks (LA Casting) and Actors Access. If you’re in California and you need to shoot and find talent in Texas then I’ll cast talent in Texas.

Can you tell me about buyout rates?

Yes. This can vary. If you are running a commercial you will need to budget for usage fees. The session fee is the rate per day to hire the actor, and the usage fee is buying where you can use the media. Often production companies will pay for a 1 to 3 year buyout for the usage. As an example this could be $1500/usage fee for each year, depending on where you are using the media. This excludes broadcast. Broadcast rates for certain regions, and depending on the usage time, can run in the ten’s of thousands per talent cast. As an example a typical rate for an actor is: $1000/session + $1500/1 year internet, social media, website usage + 20%

What are some extra talent costs I should be aware of?

Here are some typical fees related to hiring talent:

  • Session fee or day rate
  • Fitting fee
  • Travel & lodging
  • Per diem
  • Travel days
  • Day out of days (DOOD) or down days in between shoots
