ON-SCREEN TRAINING

Professional Training for Actors

TRAINING

The biggest concern I get from new actors entering the industry is ‘where do I find reputable training that will help expedite the process’.

Who can I trust?

I get lots of inquiry around this. People see these amazing advertisements that promise the world. They come into your State and create the hype only to leave you wanting and without delivering on the promises they made. My suggestion is to be trained by seasoned professionals that have a consistently high reputation and are STABLE. Not fly by night groups that you never see again.

I have personally worked with the coaches below and they are top of the line seasoned professionals that have been in the industry for decades. They are based throughout the country and offer their services online so you can be trained from anywhere in the world. This is comprehensive training for actors, models and voice-over artists that want to learn all aspects of the industry from the business side to the craft side.

The US Talent Academy serves talent throughout the USA and worldwide to English speaking talent, offering their group classes online. Parents of up and coming actors are also loving this option because they are taught the right way from the start. You have weekly instruction, assignments to complete, full support by the coaches, step by step curriculum to boost the learning curve and certifications that are recognized nationwide.

As a casting director, I need to see that you know what you’re doing when it comes to self-taping. If you are not self-taping at a professional level you often won’t get seen by the client. This is so disappointing but is an honest truth. It is frustrating for actors, especially when you put so much effort into self-taping. But remember, Casting Directors see a lot of self-tapes and they need to trust that you know the industry standards.

If you are starting out as a new actor – Certification 1 & 2 is the best place to start and will teach you about these important industry standards, expectations, industry lingo, types of headshots, branding, castability, and styles of acting, so you can hit the ground running. The coaches care about your career growth and are very supportive!
